Listen… was one of my first collaborative effort projects and was easily one of my favorite projects while attending TAMIU. Artists and I were tasked with creating a physical book surrounding the topic of music. After multiple discussions, we agreed that our book should revolve around the idea of slowing down and listening to music; analyzing and dissecting, and then reflecting on one’s own interpretation of the song. Each artist presented rough drafts of their spread and as a group we then discussed how we should order our book. It was agreed that the book should have a progression that reflected the mood and overall tone of the song.
